Some of us like to brag that we are excellent multi-taskers. This is particularly true of women and moms.

STOP THIS.

We may be able to DO two things at the same time (multi-tasking) but we canNOT concentrate on two things at the same time (multi-focusing).

Example: Washing dishes and listening to podcast or audiobook or music

Second example: Driving a car and listening – what happens when we avoid an accident, did we need to rewind to replay the last minute?

SOLUTION: Solo-Focusing

1. Become self-aware when you are multi-tasking

2. Acknowledge you are multi-tasking

3. Transition to solo-focusing on one task at a time

It’s so busy I get confused taking care of multiple patients at once, talking to doctors, talking to pharmacists, talking to dieticians
