Welcome back to The Burnout Doctor Podcast with your host, Dr. Jessica Louie. Today we are continuing our Pharmacist Month special edition with guest, Dr. Tony Guerra.
In today’s episode, Dr. Tony Guerra talks about his journey through pharmacy and his small businesses including real estate, PharmD residency help, author and professor in academia. His piece of advice for all of you: invest in coaching and approach new ventures by proposing a solution to a problem.
Tony’s favorite podcast episode is Stop being “ON” 24/7- you can listen or read about it here.
Dr. Tony Guerra wrote the book “Without Being Asked: How Can Dads and Kids Help Organize and Declutter to Reduce Family Burnout” (listen here) after listening to a number of books written by moms on burnout including “How Not To Hate Your Husband After Kids,” “Mommy Burnout,” and “Fair Play.” There’s a lot a husband/dad/kids can do, but it’s a much bigger deal if they do it without being asked. Three big points I make are getting rid of the clutter clot (a desk in our case) that opens up decluttering for the rest of the house, the daily walk through with the kids, and asking “How can I help?” daily.
About: Dr. Tony Guerra, PharmD is a dad to triplet 9-year-old daughters who decluttered his life to make more time for his family, writing books, teaching, and helping residency applicants one-on-one with their letters of intent.
Dr. Tony Guerra has written and produced over 20 audiobooks and believes writing the letter of intent early is the best way to declutter your residency choices.
