Why are we letting the noise affect our day to day?

You reached for your phone a few too many times?

I hear you. You are not alone in this feeling. I hear this all the time from my clients and community.

Bottom line:

The world is noisy.

The word is in a hurry-up mode.

We, as human beings, do not have to follow this culture. We have a choice to OWN our time. Episode 23 takes about TIME Ownership and finding time vs. making time and Episode 159 talks about how Time is our MOST valuable resource.

5 Steps to Stop feeling Busy:

  1. Stop the comparison. Just stop it. Do you say your are “busy” because everyone else does? Or you are trying to compare your own day (or life) to somebody else?
  2. Clarify your own values and ideal lifestyle – can use our ideal lifestyle check-in process in our podcast workbook and Weekly Joy Check notepad. How do you want to feel each day? How do you want to feel when you’re sitting at your desk or walking into your kitchen. Really dive deep into the feelings behind each and visualize what these areas look like in your own life.
  3. Simplify your life – set up healthy boundaries for mental clutter – such as social media time and time block out when you’ll batch out a project or task together – I’m batching out recording ~8 podcast episodes in one evening
  4. Align your work into your life – that doesn’t mean just your full-time job, it means any work in your life. Knowing where to focus your energy and bring your best self to life and different situations. Setting up healthy boundaries and focusing on the legacy you want to leave in life, not what you think you should leave. Multi-tasking vs. Multi-focusing episode 41.
  5. Remove the word “busy” from your vocabulary/language. Very similar to acknowledging when we use “have to” in our life, we can start to acknowledge when we use the word “busy” in our language and reset it.
