Welcome back to The Burnout Doctor Podcast with your host, Dr. Jessica Louie. Today we are continuing our Pharmacist Month special edition with guest, Dr. Bryan McElderry.

In today’s episode, Dr. Bryan McElderry talks about his holistic approach to life, his journey from community pharmacist to business owner within one year of graduation and how he leads with confidence. Bryan shares similar sentiments to our philosophy here on The Burnout Doctor Podcast with his approach to “it’s not happing to me, it’s happening for me” and continuing to keep promises to yourself – that is what leads to confidence in day to day life. His piece of advice for all of you: always remember your why and purpose in life.

Bryan experienced shifts in his life to simplifying and going to a minimal lifestyle, to owning his life, stopping the consumption of “things” and shifting from pharmacist to entrepreneur.

About: Dr. Bryan McElderry is a holistic life coach, business mentor, speaker and author. Dr. McElderry earned his bachelor’s of science in Chemistry from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA; Doctorate in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Most of his pharmacy experience took place in the community setting with one on one patient care; but he saw a void in healthcare that needed to be filled. After taking himself through his own mind and body transformation, Dr. McElderry was inspired to adopt a more holistic approach to helping others SHIFT and EVOLVE into the best version of themselves. Shortly after, he started business which impacted and helped over 500+ people, through his holistic health coaching practice, Envizion Health. Instead of recommending and filling synthetic prescriptions, he utilized functional nutrition, exercise and stress/mindfulness tools to return the body to a natural balance and improve the lives of others. In November of 2018, Dr. McElderry shifted his business slightly to begin showcasing the POWER OF THE MIND. As a result, his life coaching practice, SHIFT Mentorship, emerged. Through neuro-linguisitic programming (NLP), Dr. McElderry now coaches/consults with executives, high performing professionals, companies and leaders on how to effectively manage their lives to maximize their potential and perform at the highest level.

The core premise of his work is to empower and teach each person he encounters to take control of their mind, body and life by investing in themselves through his new SHIFT Framework. As a result, they will be able to lean more into their purpose and begin to see significant improvement, not only in their overall livelihood, but have a positive impact on their family, friends, spouses, businesses and careers.
