Welcome back to The Burnout Doctor Podcast with your host, Dr. Jessica Louie. Today we are continuing our Pharmacist Month special edition with guest, Dr. Tony Dao.
Dr. Tony Dao shares his story in pharmacy and how he combined his passions for technology into his position as a pharmacy informatics specialist. Dr. Dao is multi-passionate and one thing you may not know is he created the original music for my podcast introduction and ending! He is also the co-founder of a local Escape Room where you can build memories and team trust with one another in Orange County, CA. He hosts his own podcast, runs the local Orange County Pharmacists Association podcast and is the co-founder of the Pharmacy Informatics Academy!
About: Dr. Tony Dao, PharmD, CPHIMS, CSSBB, LSSBB, PMC HI is a pharmacy informatics specialist for CHOC Children’s and co-founder of the Pharmacy Informatics Academy. He received his pharmacy degree from USC School of Pharmacy in 2012 and worked on the EHR build and implementation at Ventura County Healthcare Agency, remaining there for multiple projects until 2017. He is also a per-diem clinical pharmacist for Kindred Hospital Los Angeles. He started the first pharmacy informatics podcast in 2019, Pharmacy, IT, & Me, as a means to educate students and pharmacists on the ever-evolving field. He has been a past president and Pharmacist of the Year of the Orange County Pharmacists Association and is a current Editorial Advisory Board member of Pharmacy Times and a member of the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology. Tony has also written a free ebook recently for healthcare professionals on how to start their LinkedIn.
